Todd and I did not join Kaelin in this race. It was WAY TOO HOT!!!!
Uncle Truman braved the heat with her....
She did great. Kaelin is a natural runner. It just comes easy to her. I wish I could say the same about myself.
She was very proud of her award.
Kaelin finds it funny to watch the other kids in her race. She knows a lot about pace and starting slow, then picking it up as you get further into the race. Most of the other kids just blow right past her at the beginning of the race, then about a block into it, they are on the side walk huffing... puffing... and occasionally throwing up. Kaelin just cruises right past them. She is kind of like the tortoise in the Tortoise and the Hare.
